Clinton County government to require masks of all visitors

LOCK HAVEN — Beginning this Monday, Sept. 13, at 8 a.m., all Clinton County government buildings will require all guests, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask inside buildings.

This policy change comes as a result of increased cases within the county, poor countywide vaccination rates, and the threat of COVID-19 variants, the commissioners announced.

In addition to the required masking for all guests, the county will also continue to require non-vaccinated employees to wear a mask when moving about in buildings or meeting with the public. The updated policy will also re-instate social distancing for all public meetings and the option of attending virtually for those who do not feel comfortable attending in person, they said.

The announcement was made by commissioners Miles Kessinger, Jeff Snyder and Angela Harding.
