LOCK HAVEN -- Darling and Dapper Children's Boutique, a new business opening in downtown Lock Haven, will be opening on Friday, just in time for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

The mother and daughter owned business provides stylish and unique children's clothing, as well as a variety of accessories, toys, shoes, diaper bags, teethers, binkies, soaps and more.

"Essentially, we are the one stop shop for babies and kids," said Sue Kern, owner.

The owners, Kern and her daughter Kayla Graybill, have been selling their products since July 2020 as vendors for local events.

With much success as vendors and a high demand in their merchandise, they decided to open up a store together in downtown Lock Haven.

Graybill first got the idea to sell children's clothing after having kids of her own, and realizing there was a need for it locally.

"The clothes are comfy and cute, nobody around here sells stuff like this. There is a huge need for boys' clothes," said Graybill.

The store carries brands Pete and Lucy, Bizzy Izzy, Okie and Lou, and more.

Darling and Dapper will carry clothing for children anywhere from newborn to sizes 14/16 in kids.

The store will be open on Friday, Nov. 26 and will later have an official grand opening event.

The store is located on 228 E. Main St. near the corner of Main and Jay streets.

The hours for the boutique will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
