On Saturday, April 23, the Jersey Shore Area Lions and Lioness Clubs organized an Appreciation Dinner for First Responders in the Jersey Shore Area. Meals were provided free of charge to Geisinger Hospital workers, ProMedica workers, and members of the Citizens Hose Fire Company, Independent Hose Fire Company, Jersey Shore EMS, and Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police Department. The Lions Club donated and cooked Chicken Barbeque to be served with the Lioness/Lions Club's donation and preparation of side dishes. Meals included a half chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, a dinner roll, and cupcake served in a to-go container to accommodate the responder's schedules. A total of 164 meals were served. Left over macaroni salad and dinner rolls were donated to the Love Center Café in Jersey Shore.
