Lingle’s Neighborhood Market unveils upgrades at Renovo store

RENOVO -- The Lingle family and its grocery store, Lingle's Neighborhood Market, have been serving western Clinton County on 15th Street for 28 years, after purchasing the store in 1995.
And on Friday, the Lingle family and its employees formally unveiled a new look to its store in what has been the biggest renovation to the location in decades.
Two new check-out stands, new flooring, an upgrade in packaged meat, 400 linear feet of new shelving and some new product lines that will include a new chicken program, will now greet customers as they enter western Clinton County's only grocery store.
"Really everything that we did was just a sensible way for us to support the community, the same community that has always supported us," explained Matt Lingle, a partner of the Lingle Corporation. "We want to give the community what they deserve as we invest back into the people here."
Vice President of Operations, Harry Ruiz, echoed Matt's sentiments, that all of the changes and upgrades are aimed specifically at making every trip to the store a better experience for the customer.
"We want to be there for the community, however we can do that in the best possible manner was the main goal," Ruiz said.
"The Tyson chicken line for example is a direct result of the feedback that we received from our guests, and we realize that our customers should be referred to as guests," Ruiz added. "People wanted a better name so we brought Tyson and their 88 years of experience in, we're very excited about that."
Lingle estimates that about 4,000 plus man hours over the past month have made the new vision a reality, as crews have worked around the clock.
"We can't thank Keystone Construction and UNFI enough for what they've done in here over the last month. They've transformed the store beautifually and professionally and have often times done so working around and cooperating with customers," Lingle explained. "Most of all though I can't say enough about our employees' contributions over the last month. They exceeded expectations in getting us to this day."
Lingle repeteadly spoke of his gratitude of years of loyalty from the people of Renovo and offered his assurance that once everything is in place the product placement will make sense. "Of course we moved some things around as a result of the renovation, but the community will see, the placement of everything will make sense as they shop after all of the renovations."
"This has been a long time coming, it's fantastic to be able to offer new check stands, floors, shelving and everything else that we now offer," Lingle summed up. "It all starts in an effort to serve ethe community and tas far as our employees, we can't do this without them, as good or as bad as times are, without our employees, none of this happens."
