New notary business opens in downtown LH

LOCK HAVEN -- A new notary location is open for business in downtown Lock Haven.
Sole owner/proprietor Logan Grieco has opened Grieco's Titles and Tags.
Fully contracted with PennDOT, Grieco is able to offer title, license plate (tags), registration, notary, and copy and fax services for any vehicle.
"We do everything: cars, trucks, motor homes, RVs, trailers, motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles," Grieco said.
He is hoping to do licensing for boats as well in the future.
Being a full agent with PennDOT allows Grieco's to do instant registration and issue license plates and title transfers.
"I have to partner with PennDOT and I can do instant registrations. I can issue license plates and I can do title transfers that go straight to their system and work with their system," Grieco explained.
Before opening his business, Grieco worked for FedEx from 2016 to 2022. After parting ways at the end of 2022, he felt it was time to start his own business venture. Having studied business at West Virginia University, he had dreams of starting his own business.
"At the end of last year, I parted ways with FedEx -- no bad feelings there. I went to school for business management with a focus in entrepreneurship. I I always wanted to open my own business and I eventually became ready," he said.
With the help of his father's friend, John Barone -- one of the owners of Crate and Freight in Williamsport -- he learned the know-how of running a notary business.
"It came across, because one of my dad's good friends (Barone), owned Crate and Freight in Williamsport. It was exactly what I'm doing here with titles, tags, registration and notary. They do shipping as well there," Grieco said. "I got with him and he had mentored me through the whole process. He did a great job mentoring me until I was ready to do this and finally open up."
Grieco's Titles and Tags has been fully open as of May 8. Prices may vary, depending on registrations, tags, etc.
Registrations, depending on how many years it is for a passenger vehicle, is around $59, according to Grieco. For two years the price gets doubled, he added.
It is about $219 for a new license plate and a new registration. Title transfers are $143. Duplicate titles, lost titles, etc. run around $94. Grieco's offers other service costs as well. All services include tax and processing fees.
Grieco's Titles and Tags is located at 6 East Main Street in Lock Haven. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
