LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Economic Partnership has announced that Kira Rosamilia, of Lock Haven, will be the organization's new Chamber/Tourism Director.
Rosamilia, presently the manager of Downtown Lock Haven Inc., will begin her new duties Sept. 25, replacing the retiring Julie Brennan.
"We welcome Kira to the Partnership team and we look forward to her becoming the organization's new Chamber/Tourism director," said Partnership Operating Board chairman Bill Garbrick. "Replacing Julie will be difficult, but we feel we have the right person to do it."
"I look forward to joining an amazing team and being able to continue to serve my community but with a broader reach," said Rosamilia. "I am excited for this new chapter and am very passionate and committed to showcasing the unique charm and beauty our county has. Downtown Lock Haven Inc. will always hold a special place in my heart. I look forward to continuing the work that Julie Brennan has done for the county. It's an honor to be able to continue to work with all the great community members, and I look forward to meeting more."
The search committee for the position was comprised of Partnership board members Darlene Weaver, Marci Orndorf, Louie Anastos, Dave Harger and Partnership President Mike Flanagan.
"I would first like to thank the volunteer board members for putting a lot of time into this process," said Flanagan. "We had some excellent candidates but it was clear that Kira was the person to lead the Chamber and Tourism office. Her energy and passion are unmatched, and we look forward to her leading the charge in the ever-changing world of marketing and promotions. The committee was clear that it is going to be Kira's ball and we believe there's no doubt she will run with it."
Among other items, the Chamber/Tourism director is responsible for implementing county-wide marketing and promotional plans. The Partnership has an overall goal of bettering the economic health and well-being of the county. The Partnership has 15 board members, four staff members and 403 dues-paying members.
