MILL HALL -- Bald Eagle Township officials commented on concerns with the PennDOT Flemington Bridge project.

Conversation on the bridge started early in the township's agenda by way of township planning commission member, Mary Stiffler.

Stiffler came with concerns with the upcoming start of school and possible traffic issues involved. She recommended that signs and awareness be made to students, parents and the public warning to slow down in the area.

Supervisor Stephen Tasselli agreed that awareness should be made.

"I think that is the place we need to go with this. Heightened awareness is the most important thing and I think you're right and I think it needs to start at Keystone Central," Tasselli said.

He plans to contact Keystone Central School District Superintendent, Dr. Jacquelyn Martin, regarding the bridge concerns with commuting students.

Morgan commented that not only will the traffic be a concern but it will also affect the township's revenue through the next year.

"It is more than just the safety issues, it is putting a financial burden on Bald Eagle Township," she said.

Township representatives will also be attending a series of upcoming sessions being held by PennDOT.

Starting this Thursday at 9 a.m., PennDOT will begin holding sessions with updates and address concerns regarding the bridge at the Clinton County Economic Partnership building in Lock Haven.

Starting at /week.
