MILL HALL -- It has been four months since the grand opening of the new Marshalls location at the Millbrook Plaza, but shoppers won't be finding any deals for the foreseeable future.

Posted on the sliding glass doors of the facility are signs indicating the store's temporary closure, citing serious damage due to a flooding issue as the cause.

A representative from Marshalls' Mill Hall location was unable to give any specifics on what was damaged in the store, or give an estimated date for reopening, but was hopeful on it being relatively soon.

Andrew Mastrangelo, assistant vice president of global communications for Marshalls was able to give further comment on the incident.

"We can confirm that our Mill Hall Marshalls location experienced water damage last week due to leaks in the building's roof," Mastrangelo said. "Our management team is working with the building's landlord to repair the damage, and we look forward to reopening our store when we believe it is appropriate to do so. We regret any inconvenience this may cause."

Management at the location had no additional information that they could share.

Marshalls isn't the only store in the plaza to experience damage, the Ollie's Bargain Outlet next door has areas of the store caution-taped off to keep customers away from areas where the roof is damaged.

Zamagias, a Pittsburgh based developer who owns the Millbrook Plaza, did not have further information as of presstime Monday night.

Representatives from Ollie's were also not available for comment.

A cause of the damage may be due to the strong winds and storms that came through the area in mid-July.
