Winners of baking contests announced

MACKEYVILLE -- The results are in for the specialty baking contest at the Clinton County Fair.
In the Junior Baking contest, Katie Owens took first place, followed by Adelaide Miller in second place and Kohana Yamashita in third place.
In the Homemade Chocolate Cake contest, Gretchen VanGorder earned first place, followed by Stephanie Jeriles in second place and Peggy Baker in third place.
Michelle Argust took first place in the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest. She was followed by Nicole Bechdel in second place, Linda Kitchen in third place and LouAnn Coleman in fourth place.
Gretchen VanGorder earned a second award, winning first place in the Angel Food Cake Contest. She was followed by Nicole Bechdel in second place.
"It was great to have so many showcase their entries and talents during the 50th Anniversary of the Clinton County Fair," a release from the fair board said.
All first place winners in each contest are now eligible for the 2024 PA Farm Show competitions.
