MACKEYVILLE -- The annual Farm-City Festival is set for this Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

The Farm-City Family Festival celebrates agriculture's important relationship to its urban neighbors in creating stronger and healthier communities. This free, family-oriented event has lots to offer for all members of the community.

This year the event has added some new ideas.

"We have an inflatable slide as well as a bounce house for younger children, we have axe throwing, face-painting, duck pool, bean bag toss, fish print t-shirts, and much more," a release from the Clinton County Conservation District said. "We are also planning a corn-hole tournament."

The day starts with children's activities including pumpkin decorating, crafts, pedal tractor pull and games throughout the day. Other adult attractions include: craft and business vendors, food vendors, a 50/50 drawing, and much, much more.

This year, Bald Eagle Nittany Valley Kiwanis will be joining with a game table, the Ross Library will have story-time every hour and crafts throughout the day. The Penn State Master Gardeners will have information packets/programming on ticks.

For those of you with a competitive streak, there will be a milk chugging contest and pie eating contest, axe throwing and the corn hole tournament.

If you are interested in being in the tournament, please contact Tasha Yost at 570-726-3798.
