Haunted Tours return to Ross Library; Other events announced for October

LOCK HAVEN — Paranormal investigator Lou Bernard of LHPS will once again give haunted tours of Lock Haven as a fundraiser for the Ross Library! Tours are $5 per person.

The tours will be on Friday, Oct. 20, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 26, 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 27, 11 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m.

Each tour takes about an hour and begins at the Ross Library. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight for safety, and smoking during a tour is prohibited.

On Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., author Maureen Ruhl will be coming to the library to present her newest book, “Life After A Stroke: Real Women, Real Stories.” Ruhl will do a reading and sign copies of the book, which will be available for sale.

Condom Bingo will be returning to the Ross Library at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17. Condom Bingo is a Bingo game held for ages 18 and over by Aids Resource. Prizes will be available.

Movies are shown at the Ross Library every month. On the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m., the library will be showing a different movie. The movies will be shown on the third floor of the library, with popcorn available. On Oct. 19, it will be “Annihilation.” On Nov. 16, it will be “Black Widow,” and on Dec. 21, the movie will be “Batman Begins.”

On the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m., join the Ross Library for Adult Storytime. Each month, a volunteer will read a different short story to adults eighteen and up. Snacks will be provided. The next session will be on Oct. 10.

“Saturday Crafternoons” is a crafting program held on the last Saturday of each month. Each session begins at 12:30 with a simple craft. On Oct. 28, the craft will be spell books.
