LOCK HAVEN -- Downtown Lock Haven was the place to be on Saturday as hundreds turned out to enjoy great deals on Small Business Saturday and enjoy the annual Haven Holidays parade.
With sunny skies and just a bit of chill, shoppers could be seen making their way up and down Main Street, stopping into a variety of local businesses to try and check off some gifts from their lists.
A day full of shopping, and for some a trip to a local restaurant, lead up to the culmination of the evening -- the annual Haven Holidays parade organized by non-profit Downtown Lock Haven, Inc.
Hundreds of people young and old, many sporting Santa hats and other festive gear, lined Main Street to catch a glimpse of decked out fire trucks and vintage vehicles; performances by local marching bands, cheerleaders and dance groups; and a variety of floats that represented various aspects of the holiday season.
Following the parade, Santa Claus set up shop in Sarah's Alley between Rachel K's Creations and Stella A's with two of his reindeer for photos.
Hundreds of families lined the street and braved the cold so their little ones had a chance to sit with Santa and tell him if they were good or not. Some even handed Santa homemade cards and candies.
“Haven Holidays has always helped kick off the winter holiday season. The parade has always brought people together and DLH is delighted to continue this annual tradition,” DLH Manager Holly Wilson said. “Seeing the families enjoy watching the parade together and excitedly waiting to get their photos with Santa and his reindeer gives us as much joy as it does to the families who came out.”
The festivities and good deals didn't stop this weekend.
Local businesses will continue to take part in three more Small Business Saturdays -- Dec. 2, 9 and 16 -- and feature some great deals.

Santa will be setting up shop at The Station Gallery, 2 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven, for set hours between now and Christmas.
Those hours are:
-- Friday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m.
-- Saturday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m.
-- Friday, Dec. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
-- Friday, Dec. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m.
-- Saturday, Dec. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.
