As the Marines celebrated their 248th Birthday, recently retired Colonel Eric Williamson held a Marine Cake Cutting ceremony at the American Legion Post 442 following Friday’s Veterans Program at Bucktail Area High School. Col. Williamson performed a shortened version of how the Marines honor their founding each year, including a cutting of the cake by sword. Per custom, the oldest and youngest Marines in the room received the first two pieces of cake, which went to Co. Williamson and Jay Morocko.
