BELLEFONTE -- Although he wasn't successful in grabbing a spot on the Bellefonte Area School District Board of Directors in the General Election, out-going member Nate Campbell managed to claim another board seat.
Campbell was appointed to fill a seat vacated by Jeff Steiner, who resigned from the position in November.
Campbell, who lost his original seat in November, was appointed following an interview of six applicants for the position.
"Each completed the application documents and were asked the same 10 interview questions," Board President Jon Guizar told The Express.
In the first round of votes, Campbell and potential candidate Chris Morelli tied for the seat. It was in the second round that Campbell was elected.
Campbell was sworn in following the vote.
