County to hold swearing-in ceremony Dec. 29

LOCK HAVEN -- An Oath of Office Ceremony for all newly elected and re-elected officials from Clinton County is planned for Friday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. in the large ceremonial Courtroom at the Clinton County Courthouse located at 230 E. Water St., Lock Haven.

The winning candidate of any elected position within the county along with family, friends and the public are invited to join Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller, Judge Michael F. Salisbury and the three retired judges, Richard N. Saxton, Jr., Carson V. Brown and J. Michael Williamson as they preside over this ceremony.

You do not need to be a winning candidate for a county-wide seat to participate. This ceremony is for the winner of any office in Clinton County and all winners are encouraged to attend.

"It will be my honor to participate in the Oath of Office ceremony, especially those involving Judge Michael Salisbury and the three Magisterial District Judges. This is a very special day and I hope to see a large turnout of elected officials," stated President Judge Miller.

Clinton County Election official, Maria Boileau, stated, "I hope every candidate from Constable to County Commissioner chooses to join us on the 29th, I look forward to this ceremony, it's well worth the time spent."
