LOCK HAVEN -- The Polar Express ends with the line, "Though I've grown old, the bell still rings for me, as it does for all who truly believe."
That belief was evident in the children who attended The Polar Express event sponsored by the Friends of the Ross Library. The children heard the beloved tale, read by Holly Eisaman, Youth Services Coordinator of the Ross Library, and enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate while watching "Frosty's Winter Wonderland." Then they presented their golden tickets to the conductor for a chance to sit on the train.
"The Friends of the Ross Library is a big supporter of the Ross Library. They provide funds to purchase new books for the children's library and to keep the library running," Eisaman said as she acknowledged the group's contribution to the library.
Carmen Banfill, president of the Friends of the Ross Library, hopes that the group will continue to grow and sponsor more community events such as this one.
Membership forms are available at the Circulation desk at the Ross Library.
