LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Tourism/Visitors Bureau has updated its grant program for 2024.
The Clinton County Tourism Grant has received a new identity that reflects its mission and purpose, Clinton County Economic Partnership Chamber/Tourism Director Kira Rosamilia said.
Rosamilia and Clinton County Planner/Zoning Officer Matt Croak reviewed the changes to the grant during the board of commissioners' voting session Thursday.
The grant initiative, funded through a percentage of the county's tax on lodging, is dedicated to propelling tourism growth in Clinton County.
The name change emphasizes the bureau's focus on a broad spectrum of tourism-related projects and initiatives.
"We believe this rebranding captures the essence of our mission and opens the door to even more innovative tourism initiatives in Clinton County. The goal remains the same: to grow our tourism industry and make a lasting impact on our community." said Croak
Key highlights of the updated grant program include:
-- Purposeful Transformation: The Shift from Clinton County Tourism Recreation Grant to Clinton County Tourism Grant signifies the commitment to supporting a wide range of projects aimed at enhancing tourism experiences in the region.
-- Funding for Growth: The grant continues to be funded through a percentage of the county's tax on lodging, reflecting the community's dedication to investing in initiatives that foster tourism and contribute to economic development.
-- Open for Diverse Proposals: With the new name comes an expanded scope. The Clinton County Tourism Grant remains open to a variety of proposals, including marketing promotion, product development, attraction enhancement, special events, exhibits and festivals, all geared toward driving overnight travel to Clinton County.
-- Online Application Updates: Rosamilia and Croak announced the grant application and completion report will be updated for online submission only, streamlining the process for applicants and ensuring efficiency in evaluation and reporting.

Contributing to the success of incredible events and working to amplify tourism beyond a 50-mile radius, I am excited to bring people to experience the wonders our county has to offer.
