PA Skills donates $15K to fire co.
RENOVO — Pennsylvania Skill has donated funds to a variety of organizations in 2023, including $15,000 to Citizens Hose Fire Company in South Renovo.
Pennsylvania Skill hit a new milestone in 2023 by providing $1.1 million to organizations across the state.
The donations helped groups that offer good works that touch nearly every county of the Commonwealth. Recipients included school programs, domestic violence shelters, veterans organizations, fire companies, police departments and animal shelters.
“We are thrilled to be able to help so many worthy causes around the state,” said Nicole Miele, director of Pennsylvania Skill charitable giving. “In some cases, organizations were able to expand their services and increase efforts in their communities because of our donations.”
Pennsylvania Skill, powered by Pace-O-Matic, provides the legal skill games found in restaurants, bars, grocery stores and other locations. Pennsylvania Skill has given away $4.4 million in donations since it created a charitable donation program in 2018. Some of the notable donations include help during the pandemic. At the onset of the crisis in 2020, when many people lost their jobs, Pennsylvania Skill donated $250,000 to Feeding Pennsylvania, equivalent to 750,000 meals. Pennsylvania Skill also held meal take-out events around the Commonwealth to help those impacted by COVID.
“Giving back to the communities we serve has always been a top priority for Pennsylvania Skill,” said Paul Goldean, president, and CEO of Pace-O-Matic. “We are proud to support charitable causes, whether they are large or small, because when the most vulnerable members of our communities are supported, we all feel the positive impact. We look forward to continuing to support organizations across the Commonwealth in 2024 and beyond.”
