During its first meeting in 2024 Lock Haven City Council reorganized and swore in its newest members. Both Heather Alexander and Tami Brannan were sworn in Monday night by Mayor Joel Long. Incumbent Jeff Brinker, who was re-elected to his position in 2023, was sworn in during the Clinton County Oath of Office Ceremony on Dec. 30, 2023. Council also elected to place one of its former members, Doug Byerly, as the City Controller. City Manager Gregory Wilson told council Byerly was the only person who submitted a letter of interest for the position. Byerly was sworn in by Long following a unanimous vote by council. Also during its reorganization meeting, council elected to retain Council member Steve Stevenson as vice president and appointed members to various boards, authorities and committees. Further information from the reorganization meeting, and council’s regular meeting that immediately followed, will be featured in The Express in print and online at a later date.
