Alexander Subaru donates coats, shoes, socks to United Way

LOCK HAVEN -- Alexander Subaru is helping to keep local kids warm and comfortable in Clinton County by partnering with Operation Warm.

Dave Kelley, General Manager of Alexander Subaru in Muncy, along with a host of employees dropped off large boxes of coats, socks and shoes to the Clinton County United Way office this week as part of its "Loves to Help" initiative.

"Helping others is the key to a strong community which is why Alexander Subaru believes in helping to support individuals and families in urgent need," Kelley said.

Each year during its Loves to Help Month, Alexander Subaru chooses a program to assist the local community. Previously, Kelley's brought much needed school supplies to teachers in the Keystone Central School District.

This year, Alexander Subaru went a different route with its program.

"This initiative is part of the Subaru Love Promise, our commitment to improving the lives in the communities where we live and work," Kelley said.

Clinton County United Way Director, Ben Green, thanked Kelley and the folks at Alexander Subaru in Muncy for their support of the nonprofit's mission and Operation Warm.

"We're thrilled to be partnering with Operation Warm and Blaise Alexander Subaru to provide these articles of clothing to those in need. We'll be coordinating with a local organization shortly to get these in the hands of those in need and are excited to do so," Green said. "Thank you very much to Operation Warm and Blaise Alexander Subaru for making this all happen."
