LOCK HAVEN -- Various municipalities in Clinton County have declared snow emergencies due to predicted snowfall.
This includes the City of Lock Haven, which began prohibited on-street parking in its downtown at 6 p.m. Monday.
According to a release from the Lock Haven City Police Department, the emergency will end on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 12 p.m.
"By order of the Chief of Police, free parking will be provided in all city-owned off-street metered parking lots in the downtown on Monday, Feb. 12 beginning at 5 p.m. through and including Tuesday, Feb. 13, ending at 5 p.m., to accommodate those needing to park downtown," the release stated.
On-street parking will be prohibited at this time in the following locations:
-- East Main Street from First Street to Henderson Street
-- East Church Street from Bellefonte Avenue to North Jay Street
-- East Water Street from North Vesper Street to North Jay Street
-- North Grove Street from East Church Street to East Water Street
-- North Vesper Street from East Church Street to East Water Street
-- All of Bellefonte Avenue
Mill Hall Borough also declared a snow emergency effective 7 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13.
"No parking on Mill Hall Borough streets or designated snow routes," the release said.
The Mayor of the Borough of Renovo had also declared a snow emergency, effective for the entirety of Tuesday, Feb. 13.
According to the release, "this requires that all parked vehicles be removed from Huron Ave," and that "any vehicles parked on Huron Ave may be issued parking tickets and/or toed at the owner's expense."
