19 receive portion of $75,000 in Tourism Grant funds

LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Tourism Grant Committee has announced the recipients of the 2024 grant program, aimed at fostering tourism initiatives within the county.
Following a thorough review process by the seven-member committee -- which included Commissioners Angela Harding, Jim Russo and Jeff Snyder, along with Matt Croak, Steve Gibson and Chris Hoy -- a diverse array of projects have been awarded funding totaling $75,000.
Clinton County Economic Partnership Chamber/Tourism Director Kira Rosamilia and Clinton County Community Planner Matt Croak announced the recipients of the 2024 Clinton County Tourism Grant during the Clinton County Board of Commissioners work session Monday morning.
With an overwhelming response of 31 applications, requesting over $250,000 in funding, the committee faced the challenging task of selecting the most impactful proposals.
The grant, supported by the hotel tax, aims to promote the region and incentivize overnight stays.
"As we eagerly anticipate the transformation these projects will bring, we're filled with gratitude for the remarkable individuals behind them. Each grant recipient adds a unique touch to our tourism landscape, enriching the journeys of visitors. Here's to their passion, dedication and the unforgettable experiences they're set to create," Rosamilia said.
“While we wish we could support every project, we are thrilled to allocate funding to the following recipients, whose initiatives promise to enhance tourism in Clinton County,” Croak said.
The selected projects and their respective grant amounts are as follows:
-- Thompson House Motel: $2,000 for Website Development, Marketing & Promotions to attract ATVs.
-- Clinton County Arts Council, $5,545 for Lock Haven Jams Festival-Marketing & Promotions Special Event, Equipment Rental & Performers.
-- Castanea Twp Rec Committee, $2,000, Inaugural Pennsylvania Chestnut Festival Marketing & Promotions Special Event.
-- Greater Renovo Heritage Park, $2,000, Equipment Purchase for Marketing & Promotions.
-- Spook Haven, $4,283.14, Marketing & Promotions Special Event.
-- Kettle Creek Festival, $4,000, Marketing and Promotions Special Event.
-- Hope 4 Hayze-Truckers 4 Hope Festival, $2,000, Marketing & Promotions Special Event.
-- Millbrook Playhouse, $15,000, Marketing and Promotions for Entire Season.
-- Good Neighbor Craft House, $1,602.72, Bands in the Bend & Harvest Host-Marketing & Promotions, Rental Fee.
-- PATV Endless Mountain Trail, $1,586, Marketing & Promotions.
-- Lucy Heggenstaller, $1,000, Wild by Nature-Marketing & Promotions Special Event.

Recipients will receive documentation outlining the terms and conditions of the grant, ensuring compliance with Act 18 and grant guidelines. They are required to review and sign this document promptly.
