BELLEFONTE -- CATA (Centre Area Transportation Authority) has announced that effective July 1, they will be introducing a new service called the Bellefonte Benner B-line.
This service will be operated by CATA and will be available in the Bellefonte and Benner Township areas.
The B-Line service will be available on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fare for this service will be $4 per trip and can only be paid in cash. Passes or tokens will not be accepted as payment. However, you will be able to make free transfers to CATABUS routes.
Unfortunately, transfers will not be available to CATAGO, and you will need to pay for each trip on this service.
The B-Line service offers 20 designated destination points for patrons to pick up or drop off. The Nittany Mall is the main connection point to CATABUS, and the CC fixed route bus stop is located there. To schedule a trip, you need to call during business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) the day before your intended trip, and reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Subscription trips are not allowed, and you can only book for yourself and one other person.

PUBLIC HEARING
CATA will hold a public hearing to gather comments for the authority on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room, 1st Floor Armory Building, 301 N. Spring St., Bellefonte.
