LOCK HAVEN — The Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society recently held a successful blood drive as part of their community service project, collecting 62 units of blood to help local hospitals and patients in need.
Organized and staffed by nursing students and Red Cross club members, the event took place at Lock Haven University in partnership with The American Red Cross. Each unit collected has the potential to save up to three lives.
“I’m very proud of all of our honor society members for stepping up and making a meaningful impact,” said Evan Ripka, honor society president.
Alpha Delta Nu members said the experience reinforced their passion for nursing and community service. The group hopes to continue hosting similar events in the future.
