Fly-In sees good turnout with many activities

Fly-in fans of all ages have enjoyed visiting the annual event the last few days. As the weather cleared on Friday, the air was filled with the sound of planes as Piper aficionados soared through the sky after a rainy start to the week.

The event concludes today with the following events:

SATURDAY, JUNE 21

Community Day — Celebrating Lock Haven’s Aviation History

General Admission is free on Saturday!

HUNTER SMITH/THE EXPRESS A group of kids from the YMCA’s Summer Camp are given a tour at the Fly-In.

Morning

8 a.m. til 1 p.m. — Car Show On the Field! Central PA Street Machines bring some of their best and shiniest wheels, including the People’s Choice Award.

9 a.m.

— Gates OPEN!

10 a.m. till 2 p.m. — YOUNG EAGLES plane rides, CHILDREN AGES 8-17 meet at the blue tent outside the Piper Museum

11 a.m.

— STOL Demonstration

Afternoon

12 p.m.

— Basket Raffle winners drawn, at the Blue vendor building.

2 p.m.

— Last chance to turn in Poker hands. Play your Poker hand at the Pavilion

5 p.m.

— Registration and Commercial buildings CLOSE

All Forums are now held in a hangar on the south east side of the field. There will be a sign outside

Poker Run is an all-week flying event. Please stop by Bohica campsite (along fence east of the shower house) for rules and to register.
