KC board approves contracts, personnel items
MILL HALL — The Keystone Central School District Board of Directors approved a variety of items at its recent voting session, including two contracts and a plethora of personnel items.
The board, on Thursday, approved two contracts with Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth (AEDY) services River Rock Academy and Nittany Learning Services.
This is the second year the district approved a contract with River Rock Academy as its second AEDY service.
The contracts include reserving five seats at Nittany Learning Services for $87,500 — this equates to $17,500 per seat — and a “free” reserved seat additionally.
River Rock’s contract includes five seats for $143,375 — which equates to $28,675 per seat. Additional seats would cost $246 per day.
The board also approved the following personnel items. Hiring of many of these individuals is contingent upon receipt of all required paperwork including, but not limited to, all necessary background checks that meet the appropriate standard(s) as required by Pennsylvania law:
