BEECH CREEK — A new local business with a passion to keep the sport of garden tractor pulling alive and thriving, Bearly Controllable Pulling LLC is owned and operated by Steve Yarnell and family.
Garden tractor pulling has been a passion for their son, Barrett Yarnell, since he was about six years old. After getting to experience driving one at a local antique show, Barrett has been hooked ever since.
After many years of local areas not having a pulling sled available, the Yarnells, as a family, decided to purchase a sled to help keep the sport going in the area.
“We hope that everyone comes out and participates. It’s a great family sport and its a fantastic way to get kids interested in motors,” said Tara Yarnell.
“Whether you’re sitting on the sidelines or pulling down the track, this is a fun activity for all ages and it encourages families to spend time with one another,” she continued.
With a rainy start to the season they have had a great turnout at their June pull and are looking forward to an even larger turnout at the Clinton County Fair as they have sponsored the location for them to hold the tractor pulls at.
“We are very grateful to the Clinton County Fair Association for helping our business get on its feet. It’s wonderful that they’re letting us use the track and all that comes with it,” said Tara.
The first Saturday of the fair is July 26 at 10 a.m. and the pulls will be taking place then. Come on out to help cheer on the young and the old and enjoy the good, clean fun of garden tractor pulling.
