MACKEYVILLE — Though Saturday sees the opening of the Clinton County Fair and the crowning of the 2025 Queen, Sunday is for the future queen candidates.
The Clinton County Fair Princess Contest saw 22 girls compete in four different categories for their own title.
Contestants ranged in age from 3 to 15 and were judged on their introduction while wearing a fun outfit of their choosing; their personality and their dress. The girls also had the chance to perform a talent which was scored separately.
Seven youngsters competed for top honors in the Tiny Tot Princess division for those ages 3-5 years old. In the end, Scarlett Bechdel was crowned for this year.
The Little Miss Princess contest is for ages 6-8 and saw six girls who are six years old, one seven year old and two who are eight take part in the contest. This year’s Little Miss Princess is Savannah Merryman.
