Jason Fitzgerald named new CCEP CEO

The Clinton County Economic Partnership (CCEP) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has named Jason M. Fitzgerald as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

The announcement was made today by CCEP Board Chairman and Interim CEO Dave Harger, who led the search process on behalf of the board. “After a thorough and thoughtful review, the Board is confident that Jason is the right person to lead the Partnership into its next chapter,” said Harger. “His extensive experience in economic development and his deep understanding of our community’s needs make him uniquely qualified to take on this role.”

Fitzgerald brings a strong background in public-private partnerships, community revitalization and strategic development. As CEO, he will lead the Partnership’s efforts to support local businesses, attract new investment and promote Clinton County as a vibrant place to live, work, visit and grow.

“I’m honored and excited to serve as CEO of the Clinton County Economic Partnership,” said Fitzgerald. “This is an organization that plays a vital role in shaping the economic landscape of the county, and I’m committed to building on its successes.”

Fitzgerald added, “My goal is to foster collaboration between the private and public sectors, help existing businesses thrive and position Clinton County as a destination for new investment. We have a strong foundation, and I believe we’re well-positioned for continued growth.”

Speaking on the role of tourism, Fitzgerald emphasized, “Tourism is a powerful engine for our local economy–it not only drives revenue for small businesses, hotels and restaurants, but it also showcases the natural beauty, history and hospitality that make Clinton County truly special. We plan to expand our tourism efforts in a way that honors our heritage while drawing new visitors to explore all we have to offer.”

The Clinton County Economic Partnership is the county’s leading organization for business development, tourism promotion and chamber services. Under Fitzgerald’s leadership, the Partnership will continue its mission to enhance economic vitality throughout the region.

About Jason M. Fitzgerald

Jason M. Fitzgerald graduated from Lock Haven University in 2005, where he earned a degree in Political Science with a Minor in Economics.

Fitzgerald served as District Director for Representative Steve Cappelli from 2006-2008 and has served as President of Penn Strategies, a statewide grant writing and economic development firm, since 2009. He is a former Township Supervisor and member of the Williamsport Parking Authority.

Fitzgerald has been recognized by City and State Magazine as a Top 50 Pennsylvania Lobbyist in 2022 and appeared on the Who’s Who in Government Relations list in 2024. He has three children.
