Jazzin it Up: LH Jams ends 10th year with thousands downtown, wide range of music and arts

LOCK HAVEN -- With beautiful, sunny skies and warm temperatures, the 10th Annual LH Jams Music and Art Festival went off without a hitch.

The three-day event -- featuring a ticketed concert on Thursday to benefit the Jeff Gummo/CCAC Scholarship and Friday's free block party -- were just the beginning, as Saturday's all day music fest brought hundreds more to downtown Lock Haven.

Saturday's festival featured six bands on two stages, jugglers and stilt walkers, plein air painters, a wide range of arts and craft vendors and a selection of food from both local restaurants and food trucks.

Also on site was Straub Brewery and Oregon Hill Winery to offer adult beverages for those interested in a refreshing beverage while enjoying great music. Those who paid an extra few dollars, a donation to the festival, were able to take home a commemorative cup courtesy of Straub, too.

This year, the festival expanded to include an exhibit of carved Bald Eagles -- part of an art project spearheaded by Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and completed by Jeff Donoughe and other local carvers -- along with a mini car show.
