America250PA scholarships to state universities open for high school seniors
								LOCK HAVEN — America250PA is continuing to build up to the United State’s 250th Anniversary by awarding $250,000 through its Semiquincentennial Scholarship Program to Pennsylvania students attending colleges and universities in the Commonwealth for the 2026-2027 academic school year.
This includes local secondary education such as Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, Lycoming College and Penn State University.
According to a release from America250PA, the organization is set to give out 25 $10,000 scholarships through its six designated regions.
Up to 12 scholarships will be awarded to Pennsylvania community colleges, and up to 13 scholarships will support students attending other accredited post-secondary colleges and universities in the Commonwealth, according to a release from America250PA.
“Pennsylvania has always been a place where education blazes the trail of progress. This program honors that legacy by investing in our students — the next generation of leaders, teachers, builders and dreamers who will shape the next 250 years,” said Cassandra Coleman, Executive Director of America250PA. “Every scholarship is both recognition of their potential and an invitation to carry the story of our Commonwealth into the future.”
Any high school senior who plans to attend an accredited Pennsylvania college or university in 2025-2026 can apply, with scholarships set to be awarded in April 2026.

The organization thanks the following universities and colleges for participating in the program: Arcadia University; Bucknell University; Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania; Duquesne University; Gannon University; Harcum College; Harrisburg University of Science & Technology; Holy Family University; King’s College; La Roche University; La Salle University; Lackawanna College – Main Campus; Lehigh University; Luzerne County Community College – Main Campus; Lycoming College; Mercyhurst University – Main Campus (Erie); Misericordia University; Mount Aloysius College; Penn State University; Pennsylvania College of Art & Design; Point Park University; Saint Joseph’s University; Saint Vincent College; Susquehanna University; Temple University; University of Pittsburgh; University of Scranton; Ursinus College; Valley Forge Military College; West Chester University; Westminster College; Widener University; Wilkes University and Wilson College.
