HARRISBURG — Congressman Glenn GT Thompson announced his endorsement of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity for governor in 2026.

“Rural Pennsylvania is essential Pennsylvania, and rural Pennsylvanians understand the value of hard work, service and community. My friend Stacy Garrity embodies these values. A rural Pennsylvania native, Stacy has lived rural Pennsylvania values throughout her career in the military, in business, and as State Treasurer,” Thompson said in his endorsement. “She knows the challenges that rural families face because she lives them. I’m honored to endorse her campaign for Governor and I look forward to a Garrity Administration in Harrisburg.”

Following the endorsement, Garrity offered her thanks to Thompson.

“I’m honored to receive the support of my friend GT in my race for Governor. His work for rural Pennsylvania in Washington over the last 16 years has been second-to-none. I look forward to working with him to champion rural Pennsylvania and turn our state around,” Garrity said in a statement.

Garrity announced her intentions of running against incumbent Governor Josh Shapiro during the 2026 election cycle in August.
