Castanea’s annual Halloween Parade sees good weather, great turn out

ASHTON PETERS/FOR THE EXPRESS

Though just a day before many would return to work and school, hundreds made their way to Castanea Township for its annual Halloween Parade, organized each year by the Castanea Township Recreation Committee. Brown Street was lined to the brim with eager kids looking to gather up candy and parents enjoyed seeing the floats, performances by local dance groups and marching bands and all the creative costumes on display. The parade concluded at the Castanea Township Fire Company, where prizes for Best Group, Best Vehicle, Humorous/Funniest, Most Creative and Judges’ Favorite were handed out. Kids were also treated for a free magic show.

Starting at $3.69/week.
