Festive floats and decorated vehicles provided by local businesses and community groups rolled along Main Street. They were joined by fire trucks, marching bands and Santa Claus himself, each performing or tossing candy to excited children along the parade route.

This year’s lineup featured a long list of community participants, including the Central Mountain High School and Sugar Valley Rural Charter School marching bands, Turbulence, Williamsport Wildcat Football Association, Lock Haven Lynx Gymnastics Team, Central PA Street Machines, Clinton County Legends Travel Baseball, Scout Pack 66, Lock Haven Catholic School, Wayne Township Landfill, State College Roller Derby, Central Mountain cheerleaders, Terry Banfill, McKenzie’s Home Inspections, Element 26 Twelve Days of Fitness, the Lock Haven City Fire Department, WSQV radio van and, of course, Santa.

After the parade, the crowd gathered in Triangle Park for the annual tree lighting ceremony, which was followed by a community group photo.

Throughout the day, countless shoppers visited downtown’s many businesses participating in Haven Holidays and Small Business Saturday promotions. Participating shops included, but were not limited to, Vape Haven, Momoyo Otsu, The Bike Gallery, Addie’s, The White Knight’s Game Room, Skeleton Key Boutique, Shoop’s Charcuterie, Blonde Boutique, Rachel K Creations and The Apothecary.

A surprise visit from the Grinch added to the fun. The famously grouchy green guest was spotted at Addie’s Inc. trying to nab a kids’ treat bag, but was quickly caught in the act.

While Santa made it to town, his reindeer unfortunately did not. A planned visit from a few of Santa’s reindeer, originally scheduled as part of the day’s festivities, was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Regardless, visitors were able to enjoy many of the day’s other offerings, including holiday tunes, hot chocolate, kettle corn and warm meals at participating downtown restaurants, like Texas Lunch and Stella A’s.
