LOCK HAVEN -- Commonwealth University Art Professor Vance McCoy's students are hosting the 25th Lock Haven University student and alum pottery sale Thursday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Art Annex building at 515 Railroad St., Lock Haven.
This year, McCoy's pottery students will be joined by three former LHU pottery student alumni. Pennsylvania residents Todd Tabb (2004) and Erin Dean Musselman (2014) will be joined by Jackie Zeisloft-Brehm (2008) from Maine.
"Having my current pottery students spend an out of classroom day with my former students offers one on one entrepreneurship methods and pottery making knowledge sharing in a great atmosphere. From setup to sale, alumni discuss their work and share their story, their journey on how they transformed their passion into their own pottery business," McCoy stated. "I've been teaching for over 30 years, and I see this student-driven event as an extension of what the classroom offers. At the sale, students interact with community members, market their work and every sale financially supports a worthy local cause, H.EL.P. 4 Pets."
