Commissioners approve personnel, board appointments

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Board of Commissioners approved a variety of personnel items and appointments to boards and authorities at its voting session this week.

Among the personnel items was honoring Carl Phillips, the assistant chief assessor in the assessment office, retirement.

The board presented Phillips with a certificate recognizing his decade of service to the county in his role. Phillips began his career with the county on May 23, 2016, with his retirement slated for Jan. 16, 2026.

Other personnel items approved at Thursday’s meeting included:

— Hiring Paul Curtis as family centered case manager in the Children and Youth Services Department, effective Feb. 1, at a salary of $41,980.50.

— Hired Seth Zerby as IT generalist in the IT Department, effective Jan. 12 at a salary of $38,767.

— Promoted Erin Tripp from dispatcher trainee to full-time 9-1-1 dispatcher in the Department of Emergency Services, effective Dec. 23, 2025, at a salary of $43,418.

— Promoted Delmar Blackwell from shift supervisor to 9-1-1 training and operations coordinator, effective Jan. 19, at a salary of $45,457.57.

— Accepted the resignation from Michelle Ajamian, second deputy treasurer, effective Jan. 2.

— Confirmed the placement of Rebecca Kirchner as an unpaid externship within Clinton County Courts, effective Jan. 15.

The board also approved the following appointments to boards and authorities:

— Reappointment of Michael Champion to the Clinton County Zoning Hearing Board for a three-year term, expiring Dec. 31, 2028.

— Appointed Jaime Walker to the Clinton County Planning Commission Board for a four-year term, expiring Dec. 31, 2029.
