LOCK HAVEN — Central Mountain Middle School students in Jenn Wilson’s 7th grade class are showing off a semester of artwork in a vibrant display at Avenue 209 Coffee House in Lock Haven this month.

Almost every one of the art teacher’s students has at least one piece of work featured on the walls and shelving of the coffee shop, located at 209 Bellefonte Ave.

The work will be on display from now until Wednesday, Jan. 21, with a closing show planned from 5 to 6 p.m.

“I think this is a very fun show of student art and I’m sure anyone who goes to the coffee shop will enjoy the collection,” Wilson said of her student’s art.

Wilson noted she holds an art show for her students every January and May — the end of the semesters — to give kids and their families the opportunity to view their work.

“I’ve been doing this now for four years and every time I try to make it better. This collection features way more drawings from throughout the semester that I selected to show off the kids’ interests and abilities,” Wilson said. “I do this show for the students and explain to them that it’s not a competition. For many, I know they really get excited that their art gets featured in a public place for others to see.”

Wilson also commended the staff at Avenue 209 for their support and the CMMS administration.

“The staff at Avenue Coffee are so supportive of this endeavor, as well as the administration of Central Mountain Middle School. I can’t thank them enough for their support!”

Students featured in the art show include: Grove Dobos, Sophia Eisenhouer, Landon Evarts, Joelene Keller-McGinness, Elise Lindquist, Charleigh McGonigal, Sarah Rauch, Madalene Shultz, Piper Williamson, Riley Allen, Rylin Bathurst, Edward Bonilla, Gio Cej, Anthony Gallegos, Nathan Green, Lyra Lamey, Ave Metzger, Farron Reed, Max Ringham, Aaliyah Rodriguez, Izzy Svec, Jaxon Toner, Yeira Villarreal, Gavin Weaver, Jake Winkleman, James Wolford, Kieran Albright, Jaxon Bardo, Avery Bomba, Eli Conner, Zahkai Franklin, Dylan Garcia Espino, Adalyn Guerriero, Jayden Lavanture-Young, Michael Losch, Sherilyn Marin, Konner McCabe, Sophia Moore, Lylah Mosser, Kinsley Smith, Bentley Snavely, Morgan Stahl, Kaylannah Stark, Caroline Svederus, Avery Tomaini, Zoey Zbegner, Matthew Adams and Dillon Eichenlaub.
