LOCK HAVEN — The Piper Aviation Museum announced Thursday significant early progress in its fundraising campaign for a planned building expansion, along with a new partnership aimed at making charitable giving more accessible for major donors.
Ron Dremel, museum president, said the campaign has already reached an encouraging milestone.
“While we’re still relatively early in our fundraising efforts, we’ve been able to achieve approximately one-third of our target through the generosity of our supporters,” Dremel said. “We’re off to an excellent start, but we still have a lot of work to do. Our museum has more unique aircraft arriving soon, but we’re currently at capacity with our display space.”
To date, pledged donations total $260,315 toward the campaign’s $750,000 goal, bolstered by generous contributions from private donors and corporate partners.
To further support fundraising efforts, the museum has partnered with the Clinton County Community Foundation (CCCF) to establish and administer the Piper Aviation Museum Building Fund. Donations made through the foundation are fully tax deductible.

“We’re extremely pleased that the Clinton County Community Foundation is partnering with the Piper Aviation Museum in its efforts to expand and strengthen the Piper Aviation legacy in our county. This partnership also helps to fulfill the foundation’s mission,” said Mark Weaver, president of the foundation’s board.
“The importance of Piper Aircraft in the area and the worldwide impact it has made — and continues to make — on aviation is undeniable. It’s an honor to join with the Piper Aviation Museum to help it expand and showcase even more memorabilia to educate the public about Piper’s prestigious history and influence,” Weaver added.
The proposed expansion will enable the museum to accommodate additional historic aircraft, broaden its exhibits and enhance the overall visitor experience, while preserving the legacy of Piper Aircraft and its significant role in aviation history.
The museum, which attracts visitors from around the world, plans to provide regular updates on the campaign’s progress and will invite the public to learn more about the expansion through upcoming events.
The Clinton County Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a 56-year history of supporting community initiatives, administers charitable funds and supports projects that benefit the region. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
