MILL HALL — The 3rd Annual Freezin’ For a Reason was held on Feb. 28, at Haywoods on the Green in Bald Eagle Township. The event, hosted by Precise For Paws INC, brought together participants and spectators for a day of community support and friendly competition.
Despite sunny skies and temperatures reaching the 60s, participants stepped into icy waters in support of the organization’s mission. This year’s plunge produced record-breaking times, with participants lasting 36 minutes and 26 seconds in the water.

Drew Raven exited the water at the 15-minute mark after learning he had secured the win in the Adult Men’s division.
In a notable display of generosity, the adult winners donated their winnings to youth champion Korbin Douty.
The event atmosphere was energized by enthusiastic spectators cheering on participants. At one point, ice-cold water was sprayed toward the participants with water guns, adding an extra challenge and drawing laughter from the crowd.

In addition to the plunge, attendees participated in basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing, further contributing to the fundraiser’s success.
