LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Council approved nearly a dozen use requests as area businesses and organizations gear up for warmer weather and the summer season.

First were a number of requests involving street closures on Main Street, each of which was approved unanimously by council on its second reading.

Of those approved were Downtown Lock Haven, Inc.’s annual requests to close Main Street from Jay to Vesper for its Final Friday events.

BOCC is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and feature dozens of vendors, a children’s fair in the East Main Street parking lot and live music, all leading up to the annual parade at 4 p.m.

Line-up for the parade will take place on East Water Street at its intersection with North Henderson Street. With BOCC, council approved the closure of the East Main Street parking lot, and bagging meters beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12.
