After many years of legal maneuvering from Renovo Borough Council, the 14th Street Row in Renovo is finally coming down, with garages and porches underway Thursday and the homes themselves slated to begin on Monday. The first real move towards the demolition of the row homes came in January of 2020 when a three-board panel deemed the entire row as unsafe. A petition to vacate the properties was ruled in August of 2022, followed by various legal actions that stalled the process for years. With the funding of the project set to disappear this summer, the final hold out property owner signed off earlier this year, setting into motion the demolition process.
