‘Amazing people’: Leadership Clinton County celebrates 12 at graduation ceremony

LOCK HAVEN — Leadership Clinton County celebrated its Class of 2026 with a special ceremony this week.

The event, held May 7 at Haywood’s on the Green, saw organizers recognize the many sponsors and partners whose support helps sustain the Leadership Clinton County program. Contributions from local businesses, organizations and individuals provide scholarships, educational materials, meeting supplies and other critical resources that ensure the continued success of the program.

Sponsors recognized during the event included: Clinton County Community Foundation; Clinton County Economic Partnership; First Quality; Leadership Clinton County Alumni Association; Clinton County Commissioners; Geisinger; Diversified Asset Planners; Central PA Auto Auction; Croda; Woodlands Bank.

The program also featured a presentation of the Briggs Memorial Award by Megan Dayhoff, 2022 award recipient.

During the presentation of the Briggs Memorial Award, Hannah Park was recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment throughout the program.

“Hannah’s dedication, growth, and commitment have inspired those around you,” Dayhoff said during the presentation. “She embodies the values of Leadership Clinton County and the spirit of Wayne D. Briggs himself. On behalf of the Advisory Committee, alumni, and your classmates, we celebrate Hannah’s achievements and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to make in our community.”

Graduation comments were offered by several local and regional leaders including: Louis Anastos, President & CEO of the Clinton County Economic Partnership; Mark Long, representing State Senator Cris Dush’s Office; Ernest Green, representing State Representative Stephanie Borowicz’s Office; Clinton County Commissioners Angela Harding, Jim Russo, and Jeff Snyder.

Leadership Clinton County is dedicated to developing informed, engaged and connected leaders who are committed to strengthening the Clinton County community through civic involvement and professional growth.

Megan Wheeler, Chamber & Leadership Director, reflected on the impact of the graduating class and the importance of community support throughout the program.

“Over the past nine months, I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with this amazing group of graduates and getting to know their interests, talents, and passion for our community,” said Wheeler. “It’s been incredible to watch them grow, build connections, and step into leadership roles throughout this program.”

Wheeler also recognized the support system behind the graduates and the continued dedication of community partners.

“I also want to take a moment to thank the families, friends, and employers who supported these graduates along the way. Your encouragement and support made a huge difference throughout this experience,” Wheeler said. “Leadership Clinton County also wouldn’t be possible without the support of our incredible Advisory Committee, Clinton County Economic Partnership and our sponsors. Their dedication and commitment are what make this program successful year after year, and we’re so grateful for all they do.”
