Annual Baby Sweetheart Contest is looking for participants
JERSEY SHORE — Jersey Shore Chapters of Beta Sigma Phi are looking for contestants in its annual Baby Sweetheart contest for 2026. The contest is held each year in conjunction with the Jersey Shore Town Meeting celebration and brings together the cutest little ones ages 3 to 5.
To enter, visit Jersey Shore, Pa. Baby Sweetheart on Facebook to find the application, stop by the kiosk inside the Jersey Shore Library, 110 Oliver St.; pick up at 539 S. Main St., Jersey Shore or apply online by visiting jerseyshorebabysweetheart25@gmail.com. Instructions are available if you can’t send a photo digitally on application.
Each child’s photo will be displayed on a voting box located at the library. Votes can be cast during regular business hours Monday and Friday 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9.am. to 6 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Voting begins June 18 and ends June 26 with votes cast through donations. Each donation equals a number of votes.
Coins are face value and bills have more face value and equate to more votes. For example: Four quarters equals $1 and gives you 100 votes. However, a dollar bill gives you 125 votes. The higher the bill the more votes. Examples are also listed on the application.
The top four boys and top four girls’ photos will be displayed on a float. The King and Queen will be announced after the parade on July 2. The King and Queen will receive a gift certificate along with all the finalists receiving a trophy, ride tickets for the carnival held during the celebration. Plus, they get to keep the poster that is displayed for the parade.
Applications are available May 18 with a deadline to submit set for June 8.
