Bucktail ecology students monitor streams with DCNR

Bucktail’s ecology students had the opportunity to assist the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) in stream monitoring this spring. According to information shared by Bucktail Middle/High School recently, students were able to sample streams in Clinton County and assess the health of each. Students learned about the chemistry of the water in the streams and what factors could be impacting them and then participated in macroinvertebrate sampling that will then be used to determine the health of the stream. The students were also educated on possible job opportunities with DCNR following graduation. Bucktail staff thanked DCNR for allowing students to be involved.

Starting at $3.69/week.
