Dogwood Circle Club continues beautification work with support from community foundation

The Lock Haven-based Dogwood Circle Garden Club remains busy, especially this spring time of year. Among its most visible and impactful volunteer services is beautification of the gardens at Triangle Park at Main Street and Bellefonte Avenue and at the nearby Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The club is made up of all volunteers. Again this year, the club received a $1,250 grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation to buy supplies for planting, grooming and cleaning the flower beds. Some of the volunteers were seen recently at the park doing what they do best. Shown, from left, are JoAnn Bowes, Judy Walker, Cathy Lacy, Sue Boland, Shonah Hunter, Mary Vairo, Polly Lambe and Leslie Smith.
