MILL HALL -- At their May meeting, Mill Hall Borough Council tackled a lengthy agenda quickly that included continued improvements within the community following committee discussions earlier this month.
Sewer/Highway considerations approved by council include:
-- Ditch berming in the borough using Pine Creek Township at an hourly rate of $650, up to 8 hours, paid out of Liquid Fuels.
-- Installing a fence around the grass area at the monument, totaling $960, paid for out of the memorial fund.
-- Removing the grass at the memorial and replacing it with mulch donated by the Coleman family.
-- Charging for replacement sewer caps.
Ordinance Committee considerations approved include:
-- Borough Solicitor Paul Ryan reviewing and creating an ordinance relating to noise in the borough.
-- Ryan reviewing and creating a zoning change relating to off-street parking.
Personnel Committee considerations approved include:
-- Cross Life Ventures creating a Mill Hall Borough Facebook page for $25, administered by April Bittner with Michelle Kunes being the second administrator.
-- Mill Hall Borough Facebook Administrators Policy.
-- Updating the Personnel Policy to include two flex holidays for full time employees.
Safety Committee considerations approved include:
-- Purchasing a heating/air unit for the police office, to be paid for out of the building fund once the project is complete.
