JERSEY SHORE — Twenty little boys and girls will vie for the title of 2026’s Baby Sweetheart King or Queen during the annual Jersey Shore Town Meeting.

This year, the town meeting will celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the borough itself.

Voting began on June 15 and ends June 26 with votes cast through donations. Each donation equals a number of votes.

Coins are face value and bills have more face value and equate to more votes. For example: Four quarters equals $1 and gives you 100 votes. However, a dollar bill gives you 125 votes. The higher the bill the more votes. Examples are also listed on the application.

The top four boys and top four girls’ photos will be displayed on a float during the annual parade, slated for Thursday, July 2. The King and Queen will be announced after the parade. The King and Queen will receive a gift certificate along with all the finalists receiving a trophy, ride tickets for the carnival held during the celebration.
