Community foundation announces 2026 academic, community service scholarship recipients

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Community Foundation has announced the 2026 recipients of academic and community service scholarships it administers through endowments.

Together, the scholarships are valued at nearly $50,000.

Recipients are among the best and brightest high school students in Clinton County. Most recipients are selected by educators at local high schools.

Each of the scholarships are provided through endowment gifts graciously left by individuals, families and organizations through direct donations or bequests.

“The Clinton County Community Foundation congratulates this year’s scholarship recipients and their families!” said Mark A. Weaver, foundation board president. “The affordability of a college, university or trade-school education after high school can be challenging, so we’re honored that we could provide these scholarships to help defray some of those financial costs. Many thanks to those wonderful people and organizations who have created them within the Clinton County Community Foundation. These scholarships would not be possible without their generosity, foresight and commitment to education. Again, we congratulate the scholarship recipients and wish them success in their upcoming educational endeavors!”

The Clinton County Community Foundation manages endowed scholarships created by gifts made by individuals, families and organizations. The gifts are invested to provide sustainable income to award scholarships yearly to eligible Clinton County students.

Scholarships are awarded based on students’ work ethic, academic performance, community involvement, extra-curricular activities and more. Eligibility varies by scholarship.

“These memorial scholarships allow donors to honor loved ones who are remembered annually by the charitable act of giving while helping young people in our community succeed in life,” added Bob Rolley, foundation outreach coordinator. “Some awards go directly to students; others to the college or trade school they attend to help pay for tuition and related costs.”
