The town of Renovo had been busier than usual towards the end of last week and throughout the weekend as off-road enthusiasts ascended to town to take on the 16th annual Cruise for a Cure, hosted by BMC Relay for Life along with the Central Mountain ATV Association. The course offered 67 miles this year with 120 machines and 200 total participants. The event has become a June staple for the community that welcomes the seasoned riders as well as those that find the event for the first time each year. Area roads and businesses welcomed the extra traffic, as the BMC Relay Team always proves to be the perfect host, making the event a success year after year. BMC Relay organizers noted the efforts of the Knauff family, as they served dinners to the riders following their six hour ride. Steve Fantaski and other members of the Citizen’s Hose Company #28 of South Renovo provided chicken dinners and dining accommodations to the participants. The Knauff family acted as servers, dishing out 200 dinners in less than an hour, drawing praise for riders and organizers alike.
