MILL HALL -- This month's Bald Eagle Township meeting was short and sweet, clocking in at around 20 minutes.
One of the points of discussion was the upcoming remodel of Sheetz planned for early September.
Township Secretary Marissa Morgan reported that final paperwork for the project is nearly complete. The township is currently waiting for final plans to be properly notarized and signed by the owner before being recorded.
The new building will be slightly larger than the existing one and will include a redesign of the current fuel islands layout which will include the loss of two fueling stations, according to the plans shared in January.
Supervisors additionally voiced concern and dissatisfaction with portions of the township's 2026 road paving projects, claiming issues have been noted on Beech Creek Mountain Road and Keystone Drive.
Supervisors have agreed to set up a meeting with the contractor before issuing the final payment.
In other news:
-- The supervisors approved township employee Brock Gallagher's annual review, thanking him for his hard work over the last five years.
-- Road project planning for 2027 is underway as supervisors discuss plans including roadside tree trimming, or daylighting, and replacing aging road and street signs.
-- The township completed its 2025 audit and is expecting to share the information with their residents when it becomes available at a later date.
